Summary: Assist members with various account, and mortgage inquiries via online channels, telephone, in person meetings and branch kiosk referrals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Project a positive and professional attitude.  Demonstrate exceptional “member service” to our members digitally, in person and on the telephone with professionalism and courtesy, responding efficiently and knowledgeably.  Adhere to the credit union’s Member Service Standards and Telephone Etiquette Standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as the product champion and subject matter expert within WFFCU. Represent the loan center and support the development of strategic and fiscal objectives.
  • Under the direction of the AVP of the Loan Center, manage and execute online digital banking application programs to meet the strategic objectives and the related business goals of WFFCU. These programs will be based on an understanding of WFFCU’s business goals, a thorough knowledge of the online banking products and their competitive position in the markets we serve.
  • Perform online banking product administration functions as needed. Monitor online banking availability, performance, and operations for any issues that arise in functionality and use of the applications and platforms.
  • Create, update, and maintain application reporting by product/application and feature.
  • Participation in special projects, planning, information gathering, and responding to information needs.
  • Demonstrate exceptional “member service” to our members with professionalism and courtesy, responding efficiently and knowledgeably.  Promote this practice within the credit union. 
  • Pursue continuing education required for regulatory or internal changes in policies or products through management meetings or outside seminars.
  • Review all incoming online deposit and mortgage loan applications. Process mortgage loans working closely with the associated departments.
  • Perform all member service functions and ask discovery question to identify opportunities to cross-sell credit union products and services.
  • Keep the department staff informed of any pending mortgage or deposit account issues in the event of absence.  
  • Attend department staff meetings to educate employees on products and services to increase sales and promote cross selling.
  • Perform personnel functions as outlined in the WFFCU policy manual.
  • Promote overall BSA Compliance by adhering to all BSA and OFAC Regulations specific to job function and by assisting BSA Department as necessary with any departmental function specific items.
  • Will actively promote the security and privacy of member and employee information through adherence to both information security and physical security policies, procedures, and governing regulations. Training will be completed at least annually for Information Security topics, BSA, and GLBA; annual BSA training will be position specific. Annual training will also include courses on any of the following regulations as they relate to the position described herein: SAFE ACT, Regulations B, C, D, E, CC, DD, and Z as well as any training deemed necessary to promote adherence to applicable regulatory requirements.

Lending Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Process and review mortgage applications and interview applicants.
  • Ensure mortgage loan applications are complete, correct and documented.
  • Communicate with applicants to either request or provide information.
  • Review credit history with applicant(s).
  • Submit mortgage loan applications for underwriting in a timely manner.
  • Review decisions with applicants (approvals/denials/counter offers).
  • Collect proper documentation for mortgage applications & prepare mortgage disclosures and complete them via the delivery channel the members choose.
  • Work closely with the Mortgage Department and Legal Department.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written and oral instruction. 
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from members of management and credit union members.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Education/Training Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university; one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
