Job description

Reality Labs Research (RL-R) brings together a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers to create the future of augmented and virtual reality. Our team aims to define the worldwide standard for extended reality (XR) interaction with unparalleled software that accelerates research and creates novel capabilities.This requires a passion for accelerating researchers building models in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) research. In our collaborative environment, you’ll partner with expert research scientists, hardware engineers, and software developers to build groundbreaking wristbands. You will tackle interesting technical challenges in AI to revolutionize how people interact with computing devices. ML Infra Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate complex features and systems in detail while advocating for higher product quality and engineering efficiency
  • Develop custom/novel architectures, define use cases, and develop methodology & benchmarks to evaluate different approaches
  • Interface with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa
  • Code using primarily C/C++, Java, Rust or Python
  • Conduct design and code reviews
  • Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years experience in software development across all levels of the stack

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience training models with PyTorch
