This Manager LEAD Operations Pilot Records and Standards helps Southwest deliver on our Purpose by ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of Pilot records . This role provides leadership and stability to their Team while overseeing the official system of record. The Manager LEAD Operations Pilot Records and Standards is a strong leader who champions continuous improvement and is ready to help shape the future of Southwest.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

Responsibilities
Provide Leadership and direction to Team Leaders, Records Specialists and Records Auditors
Oversee Team of Records Specialists in the collection, organization and maintenance of all Pilot Records
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the current system of record, OQS Recordkeeping
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and security of all Pilot records
Implement and enforce data quality control measures to maintain compliance
Identifies potential risk and partners with LEAD Operations Leadership to create action plan to mitigate risk and maintain compliance
Ensure daily, weekly and monthly audits are completed and create training action plans to mitigate any risk identified
Develop and maintain the personnel plan for LEAD Operations and identify opportunities for overall Employee growth and development
Assist in the interviewing, selection, and onboarding of new Employees
Identify opportunities for improvement to LEAD Operations training and make suggestions to LEAD Operations Trainers
Provide oversight of Pilot Records and ensure accurate data entry, document verification, and records audits
Lead the planning, research, development, and implementation of any new system of Record
Conduct regular analysis of data trends to provide insights to improve record-keeping processes
Partner with Contract Admins to review, research, and respond to CBA inquiries and grievances related to records management
Partner with the Manager of Regulatory and Compliance in the implementation of any new contractual or regulatory requirements
Maintain a high degree of proficiency in all LEAD Operations functions and acts as a SME for Pilot Records and Certificates
Present to Pilot New Hire, Upgrade, and Check Pilot Classes on the training and certificate requirements for their applicable roles
Write organizational communications such as Read Before Schedule (RBS), User Guides, and Training References to communicate any applicable process or requirement changes to Pilot records
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of regulatory and contractual requirements related to Pilot training
Knowledge of data integrity, auditing, and reporting functions
Skilled in accurate data entry and record-keeping to ensure compliance
Skilled in problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, strategic, and time management skills required
Skilled in written and verbal communication
Ability to demonstrate adaptability to new regulations, systems, or procedures
Ability to understand and interpret regulations and regulatory and training requirements
Ability to handle complex issues and meet deadlines
Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with frequent interruptions, under tight deadlines
Ability to work well with others as part of a Team, professionally interact with other departments, labor groups and possess the ability to handle complex issues
Ability to think strategically and understand the relationship between current actions and future consequences
Ability to be available by phone or in person for after-hours support when designated Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)
Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:
Managing Pilot and/or aviation records
Licensing/Certification

Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information
Must be able to work rotating shifts
Ability to work extended hours as needed
Some business travel required
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $112,950 per year to $124,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
