Our team in Corporate Group is looking for a Messaging Administrator to join them. You will report to the Collaboration and Messaging IT Section Head and will have a hybrid work schedule in East Aurora, NY.
You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting messaging technologies, such as Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint. You will provide technical support to end users and ensure the security and availability of our messaging and collaboration services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft 365 and Exchange on-prem messaging services and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration across our organization.

To be considered for the Messaging Administrator role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a large and complex environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Exchange 2019 administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of email and collaboration protocols, such as SMTP, IMAP, POP3, MAPI, EWS, and WebDAV.
  • Experience with email and collaboration clients, such as Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance best practices related to collaboration and messaging systems.
  • Understanding of third-party email filtering solutions.
  • Certification in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft Teams such as MCSE: Messaging, MS-203, MS-700, or MS-721, is a plus.

As a Messaging Administrator, you will:
  • Administer both Microsoft O365 and Microsoft Exchange on-prem servers and mailboxes, including backup, restore, migration, and disaster recovery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with email delivery, connectivity, synchronization, and access.
  • Manage and support messaging and collaboration clients, such as Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Coordinate with other IT staff and vendors to ensure the integration and compatibility of messaging and collaboration systems with other systems and applications.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance, reliability, and security of messaging and collaboration systems and related services.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in messaging and collaboration technologies.
  • Provide training and documentation to end users and IT staff on messaging and collaboration features and functions.
  • Ensure that collaboration and messaging systems are secure, compliant, and meet company standards and policies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and guides for all responsible platform solutions and related processes.
  • Engage with the business, internal IT, third parties including Microsoft to solve for complex Collaboration problems.

The base pay range for this opportunity is $60,000 - $80,000 per year.

Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
