MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by
an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of
Education (USDE). Major course work in Psychology, Social Work,
Medicine, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Counseling, Sociology, Human
Growth and Development, Physician Assistant, Gerontology, Special
Education, Educational Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or
Early Childhood Intervention preferred.
2. Two years full-time, wage-earning criminal justice, program
administration, public administration, Mental Health service, or
social service experience.
3. Experience in a governmental program preferred.
4. Experience with grant implementation and reporting preferred.
5. Peer support experience preferred.
6. Current valid license as a Qualified Credentialed Counselor (QCC)
or Licensed Practioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) as identified by
the Texas Certification Board.
7. Must have or be able to obtain credentialing as a Peer Specialist
Supervisor (PSS) with the Texas Certification Board within six months
of employment.
Must maintain valid license(s) for continued employment in position.
**The salary for an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member) will
be $4,848.67.**

09/30/2025. Continued employment is contingent upon adequate
funding and the need for the position as determined by the agency.**
