GS-08: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) coding medical diagnosis and procedures utilizing current coding guidelines; 2) conducting audits of medical records for accuracy of coding; 3) performing coding of inpatient medical records and performing ambulatory coding. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
