Job DescriptionThe Department of Psychiatry is seeking a motivated individual to join our vibrant team as a Student Support Coordinator. This position will regularly interact with many sections of our diverse team, including medical students, resident physicians, fellows, faculty, and staff. A successful candidate will be excited to build long-term, productive working relationships in the Department of Psychiatry and across the School of Medicine. Overall, this position will support student activities within the Department of Psychiatry. Additionally, this position will perform administrative duties as assigned based on departmental need.
Examples of specific activities include but are not limited to:
- Acting as Student Coordinator for the Department of Psychiatry's Clerkship
- Complete Additional Pay for Residents - comparing QGenda to excel and calculating IR weekends, completed Pivot table for Moonlighting & getting document ready for Hospital Payroll.
- Assist students, faculty and staff with on-boarding procedures (creating email addresses, processing courtesy appointments, gathering information for paperwork, keying in forms)
- Review, update and change timesheets for bi-weekly & monthly employees.
- Review, analyze, evaluate, and process data to determine students' academic credit, admissibility, eligibility for degrees, scholarships and/or specialized designations.
- Provide counseling in student admissions and financial aid counseling and/or career planning and placement services for students.
- Transactional tasks such as: gathering necessary information for administrative forms, obtaining needed regulatory approvals and/or signatures, and assisting management with transactional HR work.
A successful candidate will be able to:

- Provide solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on practice and existing precedents or procedures

- Explain detailed information/ regularly interacts with both internal and external parties
Salary Range: $20.05 - $37.04 hourly

Minimum QualificationsA Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred QualificationsExperience working with graduate students, experience with internal University of Missouri systems such as PeopleSoft.
