Medical Assistant

Job Purpose Summary:

• To manage medication refills, complete vital signs, and provide coverage in TMS program. Support medication prescribers with day to day operations.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manage medication refill line
• Triage medication issues
• Support with prior authorizations
• Genomind ordering
• Obtain vital signs
• Provide TMS treatment/mapping to patients
• Coordination of care with medication prescribers and other team members
• Ensure all client information is handled as sensitive and confidential
• Maintain and order needed supplies
• Work effectively as a member of a team
• Obtain routine and as needed vital signs.

Job Type: Full-time

Required education: High school diploma or equivalent

Required experience: 2-4 years' experience working in mental health preferred.

Proper Knowledge and Skills:

• Proper English and grammar, usage and spelling
• Software application related to the field
• General offices principles and practices
• Basic computer knowledge including email etiquette
• Professional phone and customer service demeanor

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs.
• Occasional to frequent walking, sitting, standing, driving
• Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)

Environmental Factors:

• Communicable diseases
• Hot/cold temperatures
• Environmental conditions may vary

Required licenses or certifications:

• Current CPR Certification
• Narcan Certified
