Job Summary
RPA is seeking a media planner to work with our media planning team on the Acura Tier 1.5 team! The media planner will work closely with the Supervisor and wider media team on the day-to-day account management, plan development and implementation of media campaigns for various Acura model launches and brand initiatives. This position will have a strong focus on local video from development to execution & optimization. The ideal media planner will have a strong working knowledge of local video planning (linear and streaming) which is essential.
This position is a great opportunity to hone strategic and management skills while working on the lower funnel initiatives of an exciting luxury auto brand. What You'll Be Working On
- Assist the Media Supervisor to develop retail media strategies and recommendations across Acura Tier 1.5 initiatives
- Develop local broadcast and streaming media plans tailored to local market needs and priorities
- Manages campaign execution and collaborates with both the Tier 1 strategy & SME teams and Tier 3 stakeholders to ensure there is alignment across initiatives
- Help generate and maintain planning documents (flowcharts, budgets, quarterly deliverables, program POVs and market landscapes)
- Collaborate on ad hoc client management requests, including POVs and larger executive-level projects
- Responsible for training junior team members and reviewing their work/deliverables coming in from other teams
- Compile and review syndicated research runs, completing on-going reports, etc.
How You'll Excel In Your Role
- 1+ year experience in media, advertising or similar environment
- 1+ year media planning experience related to TV, digital, Out-of-home and/or print
- Knowledge and experience with the Auto landscape, other luxury brands, or experience with the franchise business model (not required, but a bonus!)
- Working knowledge with syndicated media research (Nielsen, Kantar, MRI, etc)
- Excellent computer skills - truly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint (we spend a lot of time working in both applications)
- High level of attention to detail and demonstrates impeccable organization
- Ability to communicate efficiently with the partners internally and externally
- Strong media math and analytical skills
- Problem solver with the ability to develop creative solutions
- Respectful team player with a positive attitude
- Local to Los Angeles or within driving distance to Torrance, CA
This is an exempt position and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
The semi-monthly salary for this position is $2,687.50, with an annualized equivalent of $64,500.
