Mechanical Design Engineer, Medical Device

Looking for an energetic self-starter with a strong mechanical aptitude to service our two business units - (1) Contract Manufacturer of Medical Devices (2) Specialty Commercial labeling and assembly. The position is very project based with new products and production requests to evaluate and implement; some in less than a week and other develop over years. This position is limited by the desire of the individual applying not by the opportunity that is afforded.

On the Medical Device manufacturing, you will be working with and support clients transition from idea/prototype to manufacturability and production. Understanding or a willingness to learn ISO 13485 regulations and FDA requirements is a requirement. In production projects, will be supported through tooling design, troubleshooting, and quality improvement. Record keeping in core to our work.

The Commercial side of the business has various assembly, labeling, filling and printing machines. These machines could benefit from some further automation or efficiency improvements. Tooling design and machine setup is core to maintaining a variety of work flowing through each machine - as work is project based. Lean process and reliability design projects are abundant.

As new owner of a heritage business, HPC Ventures is looking for a strong engineering mind willing to learn and grow with the organization. The ideal candidate would be a early stage engineer/technician that is humble and willing to learn on their own OR a very experienced engineer that wants to be more hands-on as a part-time or closing career position.
