2 - Worked with hand tools and have own basic tools.
3 - Strong mechanic aptitude and skills.
The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for the layout and fabrication of components using schematics to cut and/or weld components from raw metal materials in order to create finished products. They will also assemble various mechanical components for walk-in freezers, environmental rooms, automotive test benches, calorimeters, and other custom equipment
This person will be skilled in the fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting of components that go into the mechanical assemblies for the above equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
Work with production and engineering teams to ensure system specifications are met.
Read and comprehend process flow and engineering schematics.
Fabricate metal components from engineering drawing using saws, plasma cutter, bending sheet metal and basic power tools.
Install fabricated and purchased mechanical components using lifts or hoists if necessary. This includes shafts, levers, and bearings.
Assembles packaged components including modular insulated room panels.
Follows safety policies. Practices 5S and Lean methodologies.
Some travel may be required.
Other duties as required.
Shift: 1st - 7:00 - 3:30 M-F
