City Market Co-Op is seeking a Meat & Seafood Team Leader to help coordinate the Meat & Seafood team while offering exceptional customer service. This position helps direct the work of the Meat & Seafood team, ensures adequate production, maintains food safety, and conducts daily purchasing activities.

Day-to-Day Duties Include

• Ensuring meat and seafood products are fresh and attractively merchandised, by effectively cleaning, inspecting, packaging, labeling, and displaying produce.
• Packaging fresh meat & seafood according to customers’ needs within safety guidelines and departmental procedures.
• Serving customers at the Meat and Seafood counter, exhibiting sensitivity to customers’ needs.
• Compliance with established City Market procedures and practices regarding operations, sales, safety, and security.
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Two years of Meat & Seafood department experience OR two years of retail food experience required.
• High School diploma or GED, Servesafe certification, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Knowledge of natural and conventional foods and the food industry helpful.
