McMinnville Production Supervisor - Night shift

Summary of Role
The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising the efficient operations of production & packaging at the McMinnville Creamery.This role promotes collaboration and teamwork within the production areas and with others to foster motivation, increased productivity, and ensure the highest level of customer service. This is a safety sensitive role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
oCommunicates performance expectations by evaluating performance, providing timely feedback, training and coaching, and recommending personnel actions for assigned staff.
oReview and approve timecards.
oEnsures compliance with applicable policies, safety policies/procedures/best practices, and fair employment practices.
oCoordinates staff schedules to meet production requirements.
oIn conjunction with other supervisors and plant manager, oversee day-to-day operations of the Butter, Dried Powder, Sanitation, Intake and HTST teams.
oOversee and assist as needed with recordkeeping to ensure accuracy.
oEnsure that the plant is following good manufacturing practices along with additional quality and safety practices.
oHandles confidential information with discretion.
oCoordinate with other supervisors and buttermakers on production schedules.
oWork as a team with other supervisors to provide supervision and support of production staff.
oPlace order with warehouse to ensure timely delivery of required packaging materials.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
oAssists with general plant cleaning as needed.
oOther duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
oThree years experience in a food production facility preferred.
oMinimum of one year of experience coordinating, supervising, or training employees in a production or manufacturing environment.
oStrong attention to detail required.
oDemonstrated competency and understanding of machine operations.
oDemonstrated competency and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.
oDemonstrated knowledge and ability to work with required sanitation chemicals.
oBasic computer skills required.Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel preferred.
oStrong oral and written communication and comprehension skills.
oProven proficiency with inductive and deductive reasoning, problem solving troubleshooting, and attention to detail.
oAbility to handle confidentiality in a professional and appropriate manner.
oAbility to frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 80 pounds with assistance, ability to push/pull up to 2,500 pounds using material handling equipment.
oAbility to stand for extended periods of time.
oAbility to occasionally bend, twist/turn, reach above shoulders, and climb throughout the shift as needed.
oAbility to work in a team environment.
oAbility to work a flexible schedule, as needed.
