- Researches and analyzes the opportunity to utilize innovative materials for groundbreaking projects.
- Develop innovative methods, approaches and procedures to identify, evaluate, and recommend materials related solutions to support US Defense.
- Works collaboratively with a team of scientists and project managers on researching and defining technical and engineering requirements used in procurement requests with industry small businesses.
- Provide guidance on the framework, management, and evaluation of projects conducting research and development and/or integration of next generation strategic materials.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a Science related field.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in materials science.
- 3-4 years’ experience generating and presenting reports.
- Minimum of 5 year’s experience working on a team in a project based environment.
- Must be able to pass DoD background investigation.
- Masters or PHD Degree in materials Science or a related field.
- Experience working Research and Development projects.
- Ability to work on cross-functional teams across the Government space.
- Proven ability to work in an ambiguous role, easily able to pivot from one project to another as need arises.
- Extensive experience in researching and analyzing materials for innovative uses.
- Strong ability to utilize research to develop presentations and present to senior management.
- Strong experience working in a project-based environment.
- 5-7 year’s experience in the fields of mechanical re-engineering, strategic and critical materials, and/or defense manufacturing.
