Serving as the Materials Management Director, you are responsible for providing management and direction for the Materials Management/Purchasing Department and administering personnel, property, and fiscal resources of the department. The Materials Management Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the purchasing, receiving, distribution, and storage functions of the District’s facilities. This position works closely with all department leaders and staff in order to ensure appropriate supplies are provided throughout the facilities at the best possible value. This position requires excellent leadership skills with a philosophy of creating a high-trust culture that empowers employees as individual contributors and fosters a strong team environment. Initiative, creativity, and outstanding written and verbal communications are required. Demonstrated ability to find creative solutions to complex problems. The individual in this position reports to the Chief Administrative Officer.
This is a full-time salary exempt position.
Position qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree in Business with emphasis in Materials Management, or related field required.
Two (2) years’ experience in a managerial position.
Two (2) to three (3) years experience managing supplies with emphasis on acute care.
Computer skills (Word, Excel) prior inventory system experience a plus.
Valid Washington State driver’s license required.
Basic Life Support Heartsaver (HS) level to be completed within three (3) months of hire.

Heavy physical effort lift, carry up to 60 lbs.
