Main Duties & Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
Receive, handle and weight raw materials.
Pay Range: $21.43 - 26.53 per hour
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general direction with periodic supervision or review performs the following:
1.Receives material shipments and verifies against accompanying documents for positive identification and correct quantities and weights.
2.Unloads incoming shipments and routes material to appropriate location for storage or production.
3.Takes frequent physical inventories of stock to assure sufficient supply levels are maintained.
4.Maintains system & all records necessary in accordance with established procedures for material inventory control and tracking. Run production reports necessary in accordance to dept. needs.
5.Work with production control and planning to adjust for production scheduling changes and to meet daily production standards.
6.Works as an active team member by participating in problem solving, team building, and all other team activities to improve the processes, productivity, quality, etc. of the material and weight handling operations. Uses interpersonal skills as well as good written and verbal communications. Assists others in department as required and provides functional back-up for Shipping Dept., including UPS
Qualifications
EDUCATION / TRAINING
Demonstrated ability to read and write English of a level required in Company. At least 8/10* grade, shop documents, shipping and receiving documentation and computer software entry and processing requirements. Must be capable of applying mathematical operations including fractions and decimals, as required by material handling and weighing operations.
EXPERIENCE
Requires 2 years work experience in warehouse/shipping/receiving operations or equivalent skills and knowledge expertise. Must be familiar with inventory control methods. Demonstrated computer skills in warehouse/shipping/receiving operations.
