Summary:
The Battery Qualification team is looking for a Material Handler who can execute all the functional duties of our warehouse operations. These include inventory control, quality control, receiving, storing, picking, packing, shipping, and customer service. This candidate will be expected to maintain professionalism and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills when interacting with internal customers, on-site vendors, and other team members.
Job Description:
· Receiving duties: receiving inventoried and non-inventoried materials; un-palletizing/un-boxing incoming shipments, performing visual inspections, verifying part numbers, verifying quantities, performing quality control inspections, executing electronic receipts, labeling materials, and storing materials.
· Stockroom duties: conducting spot checks, cycle counts, and reconciling physical versus inventory system discrepancies; scrapping damaged materials, obsoleted materials, and materials that’ve elapsed their retention periods; collecting materials from exchange locations, storing materials in the stockroom, and executing electronic location-to-location transfers.
· Shipping/fulfillment duties: fulfilling material transfer requests; packing, palletizing, and prepping materials for local courier, domestic, and international shipping; coordinating with sub-contractor to ship hazardous materials (i.e., dangerous goods); and utilizing interoffice mail services, local freight services, and international shipping services.
· Operating material handling tools & equipment: operating lift trucks (i.e., order picker and forklift), manual and automatic pallet jacks, pallet strapping and pallet wrapping tools, RF scanners, tape dispensers, box cutters, weight scales, and power tools.
· Providing customer service: responding to e-mails, answering phone calls and text messages, and attending meetings.
- Contractor should be good to lift upto 50lbs.
- Inventory Management / Control, ERP systems
- Contractor needs to work in 4 different locations and should be good with that. (1 in Sunnyvale, 2 in Santa Clara and 1 in Cupertino)
- This candidate will be working at one location in the morning and at a second location in the afternoon. Travel between locations will be ~4.6 miles per day and ~22.9 miles per week
