- Applicant will be conducting simulation studies and data analysis of microgrid systems associated with the improved resilience and electrification of shipping ports.
- Applicant will execute model runs and examine output data.
- Analysis could include evaluating the electrical/physical impact of a technology on the microgrid, including comparing to alternative solutions.
- Simulations will leverage the DOE/PNNL open-source GridLAB-D software.
- Candidates must be matriculated/enrolled in a Master's program at an accredited college or university.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 is preferred
- Must have basic power systems knowledge (Powerflow, understanding of Ohm's Law, exposure to power systems tools)
- Data analysis skills (MATLAB/Python)
- Familiarity with distribution Powerflow programs a plus (preferably GridLAB-D or OpenDSS)
- Degree or experience in electric power systems or electrical engineering
