Job description

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of our marketing initiatives, including digital marketing, media communications, and event management. In this role, the coordinator is expected to assist the Marketing Manager in creating captivating, engaging, and high-quality marketing materials and creative projects to support maxon's mission and goals. In this role, you will execute communications plans to capitalize on market opportunities and generate demand, increase brand awareness, revenue, and social engagement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating marketing material and delivering marketing ideas and activities as well as manage projects. Design and create for print and digital media, facility signage, website, social media, email communications, ads, and digital displays, press and copy writing, some photography and videography, plus work on the marketing request process and communication between the marketing team and sales.

Essential Functions

  • Develop an understanding of Company's products and services in order to effectively contribute to marketing planning.
  • Assist with lead generation, scoring, prioritization, distribution and reporting.
  • Provide support with Company's marketing automation tool including all e-mail marketing, database development and maintenance, template creation, campaign execution, nurturing activities and tracking metrics.
  • Review, edit and proofread communication content for accuracy, help promote uniformity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines as well as marketing best-practices.
  • Assist Marketing Manager with developing and identifying key accounts across several markets for specific messaging strategies.
  • Contribute to copywriting, design, distribution and any departmental administrative activities of sales and marketing materials, including blogs, whitepapers, case studies, emails, social media posts, video scripts, website copy, press releases, direct mail, and print/digital ads
  • Work in conjunction with the Marketing Manager to brainstorm, produce, and execute marketing campaigns.
  • Build and maintain lists, reports, and dashboards in Company's CRM system as it relates to marketing and business development and assist in the creation of marketing campaigns.
  • Assist in the planning of trade shows and coordination of graphics, displays, furnishings, booth services, freight and logistics as required.
  • Designs printed collateral, digital promotions, and direct mail strategies to grow the customer base
  • Performs regular review of all creative messages for usability, adherence to brand standards/guidelines, and continually looks at best practice enhancement to keep all digital messages fresh and technically current
  • Produce communications to be distributed through print and online platforms including but not limited to; e-newsletters, press releases, and social media.
  • Understand how advertising campaigns are coordinated with in-house marketing and sales teams to ensure all information is accurate
  • Provide production support by requesting quotes and purchase orders, along with ensuring deadlines and delivery dates are met
  • Assist with generating media coverage, updating media contacts, and distributing press releases
  • Participate in company spirit-building events, including set up, tear down, coordinating volunteers, and providing post-event recaps
  • Contribute to social media content that engages followers with creative elements
  • Establish and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with team members, other departments, and vendors to ensure effective communications

Competencies
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite/ Cloud, specifically Photoshop and InDesign - PC based program
  • Demonstrated understanding of visual design principles, skills in creative marketing and graphic design
  • Innovative, Creative, resourceful, strategic thinker and understands how to develop content to align with the brand, and connect with audiences
  • Experience with social media planning and marketing campaigns
  • Strong computer skills - PC Environment Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to details with excellent oral and strong written communication skills
  • Highly organized, must be flexible, able to handle multiple tasks, and establish priorities effectively
  • Must be able to utilize critical-thinking skills to work independently and make decisions without direct supervision
  • Portfolio demonstrating the ability to produce creative and strategic solutions

Required Education And Experiences
  • BS degree in Marketing with minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing position (essential)
  • Graphic Design experience
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools
  • Computer literate, functional with Microsoft PC products
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Some travel, locally and abroad (less than 5%)

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to manufacturing or warehouse areas.
