WOW Logistics is now hiring for a Marketing and Event Specialist!
WOW Logistics is seeking a creative, well-organized, and process driven individual to join its growing Marketing team! The Marketing and Event Specialist will manage meeting planning services and organize special marketing events designed to build brand awareness, promote service lines, and fundraise for WOW-WE CARE CHARITY. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated with demonstrated, exceptional communication skills and experience organizing successful events.
Additionally, the Marketing and Event Specialist will develop marketing activities, coordinate promotional needs, and support the Marketing team with the design and implementation of marketing communication strategies to support organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Marketing plans to promote WOW Logistics and its services
- Assist with conception, execution, and management of strategic, multi-channel marketing campaigns in new and existing verticals including lead-generation marketing campaigns, and sales tools
- Proactively manage processes and seek out improvements for marketing initiatives
- Act as a brand steward, upholding brand standards and appearances across all projects
- Plan and manage all aspects of WOW Logistics’ customer and WOW-WE CARE CHARITY fundraising events, including:
- Managing the planning process and adhering to deadlines
- Establishment and adherence to individual and overall event budgets
- Investigation of site locations and preparation of bid comparisons
- Negotiation and review of contracts and acquisition of necessary permits
- Scheduling and coordinating facilities, lodging, food and beverage, travel, entertainment, speakers, equipment, and other related items
- Coordination of site logistics and development of relationships with vendors
- Event promotion and event material design, print, distribution, and tracking
- Solicitation of sponsorships (charity fundraisers)
- Oversight of event day tasks including effectively communicating with event vendor(s)/staff/volunteers, directing event set-up, and problem-solving
- Provide event metrics at the conclusion of the event
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or marketing, or event management
- Minimum three years of experience in Marketing, event management, or similar field
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Effective problem-solving skills and knows when to escalate more complex issues
- Creative with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task, project-manage, meet deadlines, and prioritize
- Self-motivated with a process driven mindset and the ability to perform well with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic
- Positive attitude with the ability to be agile in ever-changing scenarios
