BRG Enterprise Solutions, Inc. has an immediate opening for an entry-level, home-based research analyst. As a key member of our North American team, you will be responsible for the collection and assimilation of market data in a variety of building technology sectors including heating air conditioning, ventilation, bathroom, kitchen, plumbing, and more. Experience in these industries a plus. Experience conducting primary research a plus.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supply-side primary research with the industry - e.g., distribution, industry experts - both via telephone and occasionally in person.
- Secondary intelligence gathering including the collection and analysis of supporting data, e.g., macroeconomic indicators, dwelling construction statistics, import data, annual reports and 10-K, etc.
- Analyzing data to a high level of accuracy and translating findings into clear and insightful market reports.
- Updating data in existing online database.
- Maintaining and expanding our network of contacts in the building products industry.
- Presenting and selling the BRG offering to existing and new clients.
Candidates should have a four-year degree, preferably in a business-related or STEM field, and an understanding of business and commerce. A minimum of two years of experience working in a business-related environment ideal but recent graduates will be considered.
Previous market research or consultancy experience is not required, but the candidate should be able to demonstrate the necessary attributes needed to be a successful market analyst - tenacious, inquisitive, analytical, and professionalism dealing with clients. Positive and fearless attitude along with a strong desire to succeed are needed, as the position entails substantial primary research.
Strong analytical and data collection skills, excellent written English and oral communication skills, and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office a must. Capacity to work independently and within a team. Willingness to travel occasionally once we have returned to normal.
