Summary: Applied Technical Services, LLC is currently seeking entry level inspectors for a Maritime NDT Trainee position out of our ATS Family of Company offices in Seattle, WA. This is for maritime related work and requires international travel. Must have passport in hand, current VAX record and a desire to travel. NDT Training and certs preferred but NOT REQUIRED.
Qualifications
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Maritime NDT Trainee will be responsible for supporting customers and projects in the field while being trained on Maritime NDT related work.
- Collect, manage, and evaluate test data for accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain and report test results.
- Complete reports and documentation as required.
- Must be able to read technical documents and engineering specifications.
- Proven ability to follow precise directions and procedures.
- Work safely; maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Proven ability to adapt to an ever-changing schedule.
Skills:
Entry Level NDT experience preferred and training and experience with testing equipment, testing procedures, and the ability to perform tests and properly document results.
Ability to use computers for data entry
Ability to effectively communicate with other departments, and customers to solve problems

Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Work Conditions:
MUST BE fit and hungry to learn Maritime NDT!
Travel to shipyards in North America and Internationally.
Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
