Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Technician to join our team. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing marine equipment and systems. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
Duties:
- Assemble, install, and repair marine equipment, including engines, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and navigation systems
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on marine vessels to ensure proper functioning
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and manual testing
- Perform repairs on damaged or malfunctioning parts, such as welding or soldering sheet metal components
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to complete projects efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Marine Technician or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of marine systems and equipment
- Proficient in using tools such as calipers, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide exceptional customer service
