What You Will Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be uniquely positioned. In this role, you will respond to requests from global sustainment for planning to support spares, modifications, repair, overhaul, warranty claims and the engineering labs.
You will lead/assist manufacturing planning activities & represented workforce to accomplish/track cost, schedule & quality objectives for the Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM) Planning Group.
• Provide technical assistance for hourly planners involved in analyzing engineering requirements and development/initiation of documentation required for fabrication, purchase, assembly, installation of aircraft components and tooling to support AMMM production and sustainment activity.
• Requires direct interaction with production and supply chain personnel/leadership and other organizations regarding planning related issues and concerns.
• Utilizes planning resources to make impactful decisions.

Basic Qualifications
• Ability to read engineering blueprints and tool designs
• Working knowledge of Planning procedures and planning documents to support fabrication and assembly.
• Knowledge of manufacturing &/or fabrication processes and procedures
• Must have an understanding of Bill Of Materials (BOM) requirements.
Desired skills
• Demonstrated ability to utilize the manufacturing processes and procedures in preparation of all work authorizing documents
• Well-rounded knowledge of AMMM aircraft structures and systems
• Experience with C-130 aircraft, & F-22 is a plus
• Working knowledge of SAP, Quality Assurance Document System (QADS), Auto Plans 2 (AP2), Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP) and Shop Floor Manager (SFM)
• Written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with leadership, technical support team, build team, and internal and external customers.
• Corrective action and process improvement experience.
• Experience with business metrics to drive performance (cost, schedule, quality)

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $64,400 - $123,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
