Job Summary:

Manufacturing Mechanical Engineers work within production operations and the manufacturing discipline in a controlled environment. They develop Manufacturing Engineering skills, an understanding of manufacturing (cost, quality, safety and schedule), and RMS systems and tools. MEs build technical depth in manufacturing processes and are accountable for improvement and optimization.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Design, control, and improve the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multidisciplined team
• Improve cycle time and lead time
• Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring
• Create and oversee improvement projects
• Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes
• Perform hardware defect analysis
• Participate in corrective action investigations

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Science in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial and aerospace preferred.
• Experience/education with technical writing
• Experience/education with interpretation of technical documentation
• Experience with project execution
• ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA

desired

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and

cultures

• Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict

resolution styles

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
