The Managing Director Private Wealth Advisory will work in close partnership with Wealth Management leadership and a Wealth Advisory team to support growth initiatives of the Company. These initiatives are centered around new client acquisition as well as maintaining the relationships of current accounts. In addition, this role directs associates responsible for assessing the financial opportunities that fit private wealth management clients and involving associates in other lines of business who can satisfy these opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for sales and implementation of wealth management services including investments, banking, trust and estate products to core clients.
Lead service team to ensure client satisfaction and service quality according to Busey Promise.
Effectively manage client relationships.
Motivate Associates to consult with clients regarding legal, tax, investment, financial planning, and general administration of their accounts, specifically guided by the Client Engagement Model.
Stimulate the development of appropriate individualized investment programs for clients, including partnering with the in-house investment team to ensure appropriate investments on an ongoing basis.
Develop a sustainable new business program through implementation and inspection of calls, visits, and outside contacts within the community/branch market for membership in the Private Client program and other lines of business.
Maintain relationships with private wealth management clients who do not have an existing relationship with either Busey Wealth Management or Business Banking and serve as support to relationships that currently do exist within other departments.
Plan and implement client recognition and prospecting events at the team level.
Participate in community activities and organizations to enhance the Wealth Management's community image.
Stay informed of all Bank and Wealth Management policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
Knowledge of:
Strong sales and client service skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proven sales success including: prospecting, profiling, overcoming objections, negotiation, team selling approach, closing the sale and asking for referrals
Strong relationship management and team building skills
Ability to:
Make independent decisions
Analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
Analyze and solve problems that frequently involve decisions based on a wide knowledge of many factors where application of advanced technical concepts is predominantly required
Education and Training
Requires a four-year college degree and preferably completion or enrollment in desirable wealth management designations, including MBA, CFP, CFA, and/or CPA.
Requires experience or demonstrated understanding of wealth management solutions including investments, banking and trust concepts including, but not limited to asset allocation, portfolio reviews, basic estate planning, retirement plans, insurance and identification/implementation of additional wealth planning opportunities.
On-going development and broadening of appropriate knowledge and skills.
