In this role, you will have the opportunity to serve as an advisor and subject matter expert on a wide variety of compensation, benefits, and retirement matters across the Company's global footprint. This position will manage large, cross-functional initiatives and projects that further the strategic direction of Total Rewards at Black & Veatch. This individual contributor will work in a team environment as a member of the broader Total Rewards team, and in partnership with matrixed teams including business leaders, finance, legal, internal communications, IT, and external consulting partners. This is a hybrid position and will report to the VP, Global Total Rewards and Global Mobility. #LI-NK1
- Works with HR and Business leadership to manage enterprise wide, global total rewards projects and initiatives, including:
- Leading the design, development, execution, and communication of compensation, benefits, and retirement programs, policies, and processes as Black & Veatch expands to new global markets and locations
- Leading the review and update of the Company's job/career architecture, and working with the Global Compensation Manager to develop corresponding changes to our current compensation structures and incentive programs
- Assisting with the design, development, and communication for incentive, retirement, and recognition programs globally
- Comfortable and adept at communicating and representing HR in meetings at multiple levels throughout the company, including senior executives.
- Developing business cases to support the allocation of investment to strategic Total Rewards initiatives as part of the annual budget cycle.
- Applies theoretical knowledge and practical experience related to consulting, program and project management, processes and tools; infuses new knowledge, theories and practices within the initiatives and programs being delivered. Translates business objectives into projects with clearly defined scope, timing, deliverables, resources, and key measures of success; formulates and continually re-assesses the appropriate project management approach and project management skill set / resourcing mix across internal and external partners to ensure all project tasks are successfully completed. Monitors risks and escalates to program leadership, as needed
- Utilizes standard project management tools and processes, skills and practices in support of major initiatives.
- Regularly communicate (share/discuss) organizational learnings/information to deepen cross-team knowledge, awareness, understanding.
- 10+ years progressive HR and/or Staffing experience; Workforce planning experience required.

- Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred.
- HR Certification Preferred
- Specific experience with total rewards design and implementation at a large, global organization. Strong knowledge of compensation principles and practices, as well as developing job leveling and job architecture solutions to serve as a foundation for pay program design.
- Consulting background a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional, matrixed environment requiring strong collaboration with business leaders, finance, legal, and IT
- Strong knowledge of project management and change methodologies
- Ability to manage projects and project teams utilizing a project plan
- Ability to facilitate diverse groups through problem resolutions
- Critical thinker who utilizes curiosity in problem discovery and solutions
- Multi-tasking ability to manage several reasonably complex deliverables across more than one client group consecutively and manage others involved with project delivery/implementation.
