Role Overview:
The Manager for Inventory Planning will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal management of inventory across all Wonderlosity retail stores. Reporting to the Director of Retail Operations, this individual will be responsible for developing and executing inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, ensure product availability, and maximize turnover rates. The role involves close collaboration with the buying teams, analysis of sales data, and implementation of efficient inventory management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels, turnover rates, and product availability across all retail stores.
- Collaborate with the buying teams to forecast demand, plan inventory purchases, and allocate products effectively.
- Analyze sales data and inventory trends to identify opportunities for Inventory optimization and cost reduction.
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency in stock control.
- Monitor and report on key inventory metrics, including stock levels, turnover rates, and stockouts, to the Director of Retail Operations and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with the retail operations team to align Inventory Planning with store operations, promotions, and seasonal trends.
- Conduct regular reviews of inventory and sales data to evaluate the impact on current and future inventory levels.
- Identify unexpected inventory opportunities between sales and forecast, and make recommendations for adjustments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Inventory Planning or supply chain management, preferably in the retail industry.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to develop and implement inventory management strategies that align with business goals.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment
