The Cost Accounting Manager, leading a dedicated team, ensures that costs for the Company's products and services are allocated according to Corporate/Division procedures and in compliance financial accounting standards (IFRS). It is responsible for setting up and maintenance of accurate process cost information, reconciliation of standard costs to actual costs, maintenance of perpetual inventory system, participating in the month end close and budgeting process, support of the day-to-day operations and reporting requirements. This position is responsible for maintaining an effective cost accounting system to reduce cost and improve overall profitability, for driving the process of indirect cost allocation and to overview the Functions (Manufacturing and Engineering) accounting.

In coordination with the Leonardo Helicopter Division cost accounting team, will take ownership and accountability of the AWPC product standard costing process for all production lines assembled at the AWPC facility. (10%)

Responsible for annual operating plan standard cost update and ad-hoc costing related requests (10%)

Lead efforts across multiple teams to identify and execute product costing improvements to simplify, streamline, automate and standardize costing related activities (5%)

Generate and maintain process documentation for all costing related activities ensuring compliance with a best of class internal controls environment (5%)

Provide support for special projects to improve business performance and processes (5%)

Assist with calculation and analysis of non-standard COGS and variance accounts for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting (10%)

Maintains compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS") to ensure complete, accurate and reliable financial reporting (5%)

Responsible for oversight of inventory reserve calculations and manufacturing/procurement variances (5%)

Assist with transfer pricing calculations and analysis of related intercompany elimination activity (5%)

Provides recommendations for process improvements related to COGS reporting (5%)

Performs and reviews month-end general ledger reconciliations to ensure accurate monthly recognition and reporting of complex accruals and associated expenses (10%)

Manage the Cost Centers structure defining opportune classification and accounting treatment (10%)

Collect Budget and Actual operating cost in order to calculate industrial/Full/Intercompany hourly rate divided by area/function/technology as requested by the LHD controlling model (15%)

- Qualifications for Position:
A. Education
Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting is required; MBA and/or CPA preferred
B. Experience
- 5+ years of relevant finance experience with a minimum 3 years of Cost Accounting experience
- Proven leader, change agent and self-starter with continuous improvement mindset
- Strong costing accounting experience in a large & complex global manufacturing environment
- Strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to turn ideas into action while working with cross functional teams
- Excellent analytical and communication skills (written and verbal)
- SAP experience is required
