Position Summary:
The Manager of Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics will partner with functional leaders across the organization to conceive, design, develop, and foster adoption of solutions that leverage information-driven reporting to deliver actionable insights. To create a foundation for BI and Analytics solutions, this role will be responsible for understanding and managing all underlying technical data-related infrastructure including data engineering, warehousing, ETL, and visualization capabilities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive BI and Analytics strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify Business Intelligence needs and opportunities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages the sharing of insights and promotes a data-driven culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Design, develop and maintain insightful visualization dashboards and reports to monitor and highlight contributing factors to financial and operational results and variances.
- Implement new data gathering techniques, transform data into appropriate formats for analysis in Power BI and develop additional relational data models.
- Design and implement scalable data architecture to support the organization's data needs.
- Manage the design and maintenance of data warehouses, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Oversee the development of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure the efficient and timely movement of data.
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Lead design and development of advanced analytics models and reporting tools to extract meaningful insights from data.
- Oversee the collection, integration, and validation of data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Implement data governance and quality standards to maintain a reliable and consistent data infrastructure.
- Develop and implement training to enhance data literacy across the organization.
- Promote the use of self-service analytics tools to empower business users.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Manage relationships with vendors and third-party partners, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in Business Intelligence and Analytics and assess their applicability to the organization.
- Comfortable with loosely defined requirements where you exercise your analytical skills to clarify questions, share your approach and collaborate with the rest of the team.
- Demonstrate a calm, assertive approach to diagnosing and fixing urgent problems.

- Ability to execute product management principle within cross-functional team with emphasis on organizing work, assigning responsibilities, tracking process, and managing expectations.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in business, data science, computer science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, analytics, or a related role, with a successful project delivery track record.
- 2+ years of relevant experience with MS-Power BI tool including experience with data engineering, implementation and administration of Power BI.
- PowerBI certification preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with relational databases and experience with programming in DAX
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
- Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing Business Intelligence and data management in a manufacturing and distribution setting.
- Proficient in database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL), ETL tools, MS-Azure data warehousing, and MS-Power BI.
- Experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R is a plus.

- Available after business hours to troubleshoot as needed or provide system maintenance.
