Job description

 

Do you have a high level of maintenance skills in the manufacturing industry? Does troubleshooting issues and ensuring proper preventive maintenance make you feel accomplished? If so, the Maintenance Technician Irole is for you.

 

A Maintenance Technician conducts troubleshooting repairs and preventive maintenance of simple and complex equipment within the production facility.

 

SHIFT:  Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.    

 

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Sets up production lines.
  • Troubleshoots equipment issues in production environment.
  • Operates and maintains production equipment.
  • Keeps equipment clean.
  • Perform machine maintenance and repair.
  • Maintains adherence to company policy, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Repairs and installs equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical, as well as PLC's, RS Logics Software and pc's.
  • Provides support to mechanics in areas of fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting, pipefitting, and machining.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires ability to do mechanical work on ladders or out of a skyjack.
  • Requires ability to do extended amounts of walking.
  • Manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination with hand/power tools.
  • Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying, and lifting (up to 50 pounds).
  • Reporting and clerical duties on a computer and/or tablet.      

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):

  • Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician in any production environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment.
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Training mechanical or electrical technology is a plus.
