A Maintenance Technician conducts troubleshooting repairs and preventive maintenance of simple and complex equipment within the production facility.
SHIFT: Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Sets up production lines.
- Troubleshoots equipment issues in production environment.
- Operates and maintains production equipment.
- Keeps equipment clean.
- Perform machine maintenance and repair.
- Maintains adherence to company policy, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
- Repairs and installs equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical, as well as PLC's, RS Logics Software and pc's.
- Provides support to mechanics in areas of fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting, pipefitting, and machining.
- Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires ability to do mechanical work on ladders or out of a skyjack.
- Requires ability to do extended amounts of walking.
- Manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination with hand/power tools.
- Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying, and lifting (up to 50 pounds).
- Reporting and clerical duties on a computer and/or tablet.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):
- Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician in any production environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment.
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Training mechanical or electrical technology is a plus.
