The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee and support production operation and execute the planned maintenance activities to ensure well maintained equipment.
- Define skills development plan to the crew.
- Manage maintenance labour, spare parts budget and use of maintenance management system
- Initiate cost savings measures.
- Ensure that plant maintenance operations are conducted in a safe and controlled environment.
- Ensure all maintenance related works align with corporate engineering standards including sanitary design, ergonomics, employee safety and food safety requirements.
- Continuously apply sound mechanical and electrical solutions to resolve obstacles to plant efficiencies and to drive continuous improvement.
- Perform follow-up analysis to identify and resolve recurring downtime / inefficient operational issues.
- Manage maintenance schedule to efficient execution.
- Works with the production team on maintenance planning and execution.
- Adjust priorities as daily conditions dedicate.
- Monitor crew performance and provide feedback.
- Ensure work order compliance including predictive and preventive maintenance.
- Effectively communicate results and action plans to appropriate employees and managers.
- Ensure compliance with proper documentation of work performed.
- Provide technical support for efficient troubleshooting / problem solving activities and maintenance repair to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime.
- Execute mandatory inspections and certifications and appropriate authorities.
- Ensure environmental compliance.
- Strong team leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in related field of study preferred, or Technical School Degree and/or Related Experience in combination
- 3-5 years of experience in leading a maintenance team in a manufacturing setting.
- Good understanding or mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting ability
- Experience TPM and/or Lean initiatives
- Experience predictive/preventive maintenance programs
- Strong computer application skills, network and PC business application software.
- SAP software knowledge is a plus
