Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide lead technical knowledge in the repair of breakdowns and troubleshooting, rescheduling maintenance needs as equipment fails or as production plan changes.
• Determine whether the problem can be solved in-house or outside specialist is required, and make a recommendation to Maintenance Manager.
• Coordinate activities with parts clerks, vendors, or suppliers to obtain quotes for projects and execute installations, services, or repairs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen events, and lean manufacturing.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local Environmental and Safety regulations (EPA, OSHA, etc.)
• Prepare technician schedule for 24-hour/7-day operation line coverage and preventative maintenance activities, and recommend overtime allocation as necessary.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Manager to document plant needs for the fiscal year, including the cost value of equipment repair or replacement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED is required

• 
  

  Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical or Chemical Engineering OR a Community College technical degree plus 5 years of shop floor experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

• 
  

  Proficient in SAP is helpful

• 
  

  7 years of shop floor experience in a manufacturing environment.

• 
  

  Maintenance/Engineering expertise in hydraulics, mechanics, process, and electrical functions of the equipment.

• 
  

  Computer literate with proficiency in Excel and Word

• 
  

  Leadership and communications skills

• 
  

  Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
