Job description

Maintenance Scheduler
JOB SUMMARY:
 
We are seeking a Maintenance Scheduler to join our team in Martinez, CA. The Maintenance Scheduler identifies scheduling requirements prior to making the work available for execution. They will schedule maintenance activities, communicate with Operations, shared resources, and technical support as well as update status with scheduling. 
 
The successful candidate will collaborate across refinery disciplines and departments to ensure all Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Pressure Equipment Integrity (PEI) maintenance items are scheduled and executed safely and efficiently based on site procedures, compliance due dates, and operational needs. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
 
  • P6 Primavera Scheduling
  1. Develops detailed routine maintenance/outage schedules 
  2. Manage RCM deferral forms to update P6 Primavera constraints
  3. Coordinate closely with Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) to understand needs, establish priorities and completion dates
  4. Manage updates in P6 and SAP 
  5. Assure compliance of site and industry standards/procedures for process and personal safety
  6. Understands P6 global changes, activity codes & leveling parameters to establish manpower resource leveling 
  7. Manage Impress database closely to ensure interface communication between P6 and SAP
  8. Resource Loading and Resource Management in Primavera.
  9. Adhering to enterprise scheduling standards for development and implementation of schedules, ensures standards are current, e.g., Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  10. Updating, revising, and detailing for schedules as projects progress through development and execution stages, e.g., updating the schedules based on earned-value data from the Field Construction Analysts and other sources of construction tracking and reporting information
  11. Assist with interpreting performance of scheduled activities and communicating issues to the Project Manager, e.g., analyzing the impacts that schedule updates will have on baseline plans, ensuring resource requirements for schedules are incorporated at planning stages and continuously developed through the project lifecycle,
  12. Developing and managing schedule performance indicators
  13. Interface with the various stakeholders on the project team and other key stakeholders to receive the information required for accurate and timely critical-path management of the project schedules.
  14. Track the status of various projects and prepare project milestone reports, obligation reports, validate cost status, and update Project Cost Plans.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4 years of industrial scheduling 
  • Proven experience running reports in P6 Primavera
  • Skilled in the use of SAP, P6, Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Experience in planning and estimating maintenance work activities
  • Strong understanding of refinery work processes 
  • Strong communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must have organizational skills / multitasking
  • Communication skills
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
 
  • 5 + years Refinery planning coordinating or scheduling experience. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 tool experience.
  • Experience developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Program Summary Master Schedules (PSMS), and WBS.
  • Experience with turnaround/outage scheduling
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize workload in a fast paced and dynamic environment and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Experience in scheduling, reconciliation, maintenance of project funds and preparing reports on a recurring basis.
  • Experience with oil and gas construction projects & critical path scheduling method
  • Experience working with Strategic Systems Programs.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
  • Power BI, Power point, data analytics. 
  • PMBOK guide and construction principles.
