Role/Responsibilities
Purpose of Position:
To develop predictive and preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for all equipment and machinery used throughout the production process. Analyze production, maintenance and machine data using PM quest, CMS, parts inventory, White Board and build standards to support uptime and continuous improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for scheduling and tracking of preventive, predictive and unscheduled maintenance for plant equipment and ensuring spare parts inventory is available. Coordinate, track and report project activities and ensure all parts and tools are available for the projects. Ensure spare parts, fluids, lubricants, chemicals and tools are ordered and or stocked for uptime and project support
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive projects, improvements and emergency repairs to reduce downtime. Ensure that reporting is completed.
- Administer the maintenance planning module of PM quest
- Work with PM quest software writers Kamtek experts, and maintenance to build the casting equipment list with continuous updates.
- Maintain updates to all process equipment drawings and update OEM manuals.
- Setup and maintain a preventive and predictive maintenance system to meet the requirements of IATF 16949.
- Develop all inspections and routine maintenance plans to support reliable operations.
- Develop reports for KPIs including: MTBF, MTTR, system reliability; cost of maintenance and operations; breakdown vs corrective vs preventive work orders.
- Prioritize and schedule all work in the maintenance plan including weekends and shutdowns
- Prioritize and schedule all unplanned work: service requests; project support; corrective maintenance, etc..
- Adjust job plans as required for improved accuracy and ability to plan work
- Create work orders for planned and unplanned maintenance work
- Review all work orders for accuracy and correctness prior to closing
- Order materials and parts necessary for work orders
- Associate all cost with work orders
- Develop periodic reports for facility maintenance and operations KPIs
- Recommend changes or enhancements to maintenance manager for improving maintenance plans and schedules based on CMMS data
- Retain and follow up on spare parts inventory
- Work with process Engineers on projects to coordinate activities.
- Work closely with internal groups and other departments to schedule and communicate events
- Track continuous improvement changes cost savings and report to Maintenance manager/AGM.
- Assist in maintaining equipment, catching calls when needed.
- Promotes good housekeeping (5S)
- Perform other duties as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Some of the physical demands for this position include the ability to lift 40 pounds and being able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time in a manufacturing environment.
EQUIPMENT/TOOLS USED
Some of the equipment and tools used are: Computers, telephone, 2-way radio, copier/printer, Fax, Dry Erase Boards, Digital camera, Hand tools, and power tools.
KNOWLEDGE
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year Associates Degree from accredited technical college is preferred, or equivalent experience
OTHER: Computer skills; Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), AutoCAD experience is a plus
WORK EXPERIENCE
WHAT TYPES? Strong technical background, previous experience in; maintenance and scheduling, field-driven computer systems and inventory control, using MS Office Suite to present relevant data to management. Understanding of PM quest and analytics.
HOW MUCH? Minimum 3 years
WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS OR ABILITIES WOULD BE HELPFUL FOR THE JOB?
• Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Background in implementing and maintaining systems to forecast maintenance needs
• Experience organizing drawings, manuals, and all other maintenance documents in paper and electronic format
• Experience creating procedures such as LOTO and workflow structures.
