ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains confidentiality of CDS Global and its clients' proprietary information.
- Regularly operates two or more high speed production machines to process in-bound mail, including mail sorter, auto extractor imager, transport scanner and/or sit down extractor/scanners.
- Stands and moves constantly while performing functions in a fast-paced high volume production work environment. Lifts and moves mail trays/mail bins.
- Work needs to be performed with a sense of urgency due to production deadlines and volumes.
- Run jobs in proper order.
- Performs batch set-ups.
- Creates and performs job and machine setups as needed.
- Maintains knowledge on jobs and knows how to select correct jobs. Contacts management if correct job is not selectable.
- Create jobs as needed.
- Enters batch header information into PC attached to machine by performing keying functions, as necessary.
- Loads mail onto machine, selects appropriate job according to established guidelines, and runs mail through the machine.
- Unloads mail from machine and moves it to the next stage of the process.
- Bundles batch together in mail trays, and places in the appropriate location.
- Compares mail in bins to determine if it matches the label. Follow-up on mail discrepancies.
- Removes mail from bins and applies appropriate labels on MPS40.
- Operates a jogger.
- Separates documents from checks after image processing.
- Maintains a comprehensive knowledge and understanding on how machines is supposed to operate and process mail. Observes machine to determine if it is performing properly. Troubleshoots problems with machine. Makes proper adjustments to machine as needed.
- Troubleshoots machine errors and jams according to established methods. Communicates pertinent information to management in a timely manner.
- Fixes batches if they don't scan correctly.
- Converts documents into batches electronically.
- Performs preventative maintenance on machines. Cleans, vacuums, and clears materials from machine as necessary; at least once daily.
- Reports mechanical problems encountered with machinery to appropriate person, e.g., manager, or technical service vendor staff in manager's absence.
- May work with vendor staff to solve machine problems errors by testing and demonstrating machine problems.
- Interacts in cooperative and professional manner, with all levels of employees, clients and/or vendors, in team environment.
- Organizes tasks and resources to complete work and meet deadlines according to established departmental procedures.
- Reacts to change and remains productive.
- Acquires and adopts new information in changing technical environment.
- Adheres to CDS Global attendance policies; reports to work station as directed by management.
- Follows all CDS Global ergonomic and safety policies.
