As a Senior Software Developer you will be working within the Retail Wireless Commerce team in our Plano, Texas location, or our location in downtown Denver, CO. You will be working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment spanning the entire Retail Wireless team and broader DISH organizations. You will develop solutions that execute our ambitious wireless vision spanning multiple wireless brands.
What you’ll do
- Interpret and review detailed designs used to develop features of a PHP based E-commerce application (Magento)
- Participate in the Agile Scrum team software development cycle, including discovery and level of effort estimating
- Work closely with onshore and offshore teams including product owners, software developers, quality assurance and operations support teams
- Participate in reviews of using code standards defined and updated by team to ensure the highest quality of code is delivered
- Give support to the integration, documentation, and launch of new product offerings throughout the release/development cycle
Experience you will gain and build upon. Preference will be given to those who possess some or all of the following
- Knowledge of all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle process using the Agile Process
- Git SCM (Source Code Management)
- Experience with Project Tracking in Rally/Jira)
- Object Oriented Backend Programming in PHP with a framework such as Laminas (Formerly Zend)
- Frontend javascript programming using a framework such as JQuery, React, or Vue.js
- Object Oriented Design Patterns including Dependency Injection, Routing, Factory, Service Manager
- Confidence and ability to establish valuable professional relationships with others
- Highly motivated developer and capable of learning new technologies
- Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic
- Experience integrating with REST APIs
