About this Position:

This job supports others either by teaching or training associates new to the area or new to a zone, helping the LSS (Line Staff Support) with various types of paperwork and planning, helps plan shutdown activity required in each zone or area, assures equipment is ready for use (tools and coolant concentration management), and leads quality containment efforts if needed. Provides leadership and direction in the absence of the LSS for assigned area.

Responsibilities include:

• Training and operation of all equipment on your assigned line
• Understand operation standards, PQCTs, quality check sheets, and tooling for assigned line
• Assist and lead as necessary in controlling daily production (WIP {works in progress}, tool changes, lot controls, etc.)
• Vacation coverage for associates (LSS, PA {Production Associates})
• Assist in maintaining quality fixtures and gauges; report any issues to the LSS/QTC (Quality Team Coordinator)
• Complete daily report and communicate relevant issues to the next shift when LSS is absent
• Perform part repairs
• Support weekend production, machine repairs, and NM (new model) activity
• Support shutdown activity to make line improvements
• Support new equipment installation and testing

Who we are seeking:

Required Experience:

1 year of AAP (Alabama Auto Plant) or relevant experience

Required Education:

GED/High School Diploma

Other job specific skills:

• Communication skills
• Supports LSS direction
• Successful execution of training plan

Additional Position Factors:

• Workstyle: Onsite/Machining production floor
• Approx. Travel: 0-10% travel requirement for training and offsite support as needed
• Will require standing and walking for long durations of time
• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs
• Daily, weekly, weekend, and holiday overtime as required (will vary)
• Able to work varying/rotating shifts for extended periods of time as requested
• Ability to perform production line work and work online as needed
