Machinery Support Technician

As Torfresma opens its first facility in the US, we are looking for an adaptable and hands-on Machinery Support Technician to be part of this exciting new venture.  You will work on installing and servicing packaging, palletizing, and conveying equipment in industrial facilities, and have the opportunity to travel both domestically and internationally, including to our headquarters in Brazil!

You don't need years of experience or knowledge of our industry (we can teach you that). We'll provide outstanding training and development, we just need the passion, commitment and drive from you.

What you’ll do

• Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams in order to align, fit, or assemble component parts
• Maintain or repair equipment, or systems to ensure the proper functioning
• Assist in the inspection of parts for proper dimensions and correct fit
• Install and replace electrical or electronic components
• Assist with shipping and receiving documentation, inventory replenishment, order entry, order picking and order shipping

What you bring

• Education: A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience: No previous experience is required
• A plus, minimum 1 year (or new college grad); packaging machine installation and troubleshooting experience; electronic and programming background
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Knowledge in reading and understanding Electrical and Pneumatic Diagrams and 2D Layout with AutoCAD
• Fluency in English, proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese preferred
• Mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills
• 70% domestic and international travel, working at Lenexa office when not traveling
