Responsibilities:
-Must become muti-skilled and obtain certification in the Skill Matrix within the required time.
-Must demonstrate the ability to work from written work orders and PMs
-Must perform basic mechanical and maintenance.
-Must ensure product quality standards are maintained: evaluate work-in-process and finished goods, with limited guidance analyze quality data to determine release of material and/or perform non-conformance reporting for out of specification product, and make corrections on the line.
-Perform Basis Weight, Thickness and Tensile quality testing on nonwovens material: calibrate testing equipment; enter data in "Carel Mill"; work from procedures as listed on Knowledge Needs Matrix for the Quality Lab; work from product documentation and test procedures to determine what equipment and supplies will be used; set schedules based on product mix running in the department to ensure results are provided in a timely manner.
-Troubleshoot, diagnose , and correct mechanical problems.
-Lubricate, clean, align and filters, motors, and pumps on production machinery.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Skills:
- Effective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction
- Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of following blueprints and manuals
- Excellent mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs
- Ability to stand, sit or be in other physically demanding positions for long periods of time
- Experience working in a Paper Mill
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Must have Paper/ Tissue converting experience
- Good reading and math skills.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience (more than 2 years consecutively) in a manufacturing/production environment is a must
