Summary
Under direct supervision this Packing-Machine Operator position is responsible for providing accurate measures and maintaining the integrity of the product being run on his/her assigned line. The Machine operator will be responsible for exercising Good Manufacturing Practices. The position monitors materials and processes to detect problems during the operation, inspects equipment and materials for possible breakdowns and/or defects. The position also performs general physical activities, it also performs adjusting, and testing on machines. The machine operator assists and delegates to others, develops a constructive and cooperative working relationships with his/her designated staff, and communicates with leads and supervisors. *We participate in E-verify*

- Monday - Friday and Saturdays if need it.

Essential Functions (mental & physical)
- · Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated area
- · Train new employees and coach existing employees
- · Manual work
- · Maintain a clean and safe workplace during designated shift hours
- · Keep constant communication with scalers, mixer operators and line lead throughout the shift.
- · Coordinate breaks and lunches with line lead
- · Teamwork
- · Refer to production schedule for shift to determine products being run and in what sequence
- · Be on time at your work station
- · Set up the machine (es) for product being run
- · Verify cleanliness of the equipment. Report any findings to lead if necessary
- · Perform the safety device inspection before commencing production. Report any equipment failures to lead and/or supervisor.
- · Obtain any other auxiliary equipment and/or materials needed (tables, conveyors, trash cans, towels, carts, catch trays, etc.)
- · Ensure that the correct pans have been pre-staged. Refer to production schedule to validate. Ask the lead and/or supervisor if needed.
- · Obtain empty racks and stage for the rack loaders
- · Run the batter and/or dough through the depositor to ensure that the equipment is working properly. Report any equipment failure to lead and/or supervisor
- · Record the mix/dough deposit weight throughout the shift. Follow deposit weight standard provided on the floor spec sheet and do not deviate from standards
- · Fill out production documentation throughout the shift
- · Submit all completed shift documentation to QA and/or Line Lead at the end of the shift
- · All materials/ingredients at the end of the shift must be labeled, weighted and removed from the line
- · Delegate work assignments to the staff assigned to your area throughout the shift

- · Good mechanical skills

Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
- Regularly lift and/or move, push and pull objects 10-50 lbs
- Work hours in excess of forty (40) hours will be required.
