As a Cyber Security apprentice, you would be learning and preforming a wide verity of Cyber Security related task tied to the NIST Core Cyber Framework: Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover. You will be expected to develop a proficiency in many tasks related to these roles. You will be provided mentors in each of these areas that will work with you to insure you gain a clear understanding of the topic and the related work around it.
Basic Education Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential
Preferred Qualifications
Be at least halfway through actively obtaining a four-year degree in IT related discipline (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security). Ideally with at least a year of school left.
Demonstrate some independent interest in technology and or cyber security through extracurricular activities.
Be with in a reasonable traveling distance to the site to preform hands on work and can maintain a 20 – to just under 40-hour average work week for a year-round position.
Ability to show a good work history even if not in related field is also a plus.
