LPN - Per Diem

Job Title:

Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary:

Oneida Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (Per Diem). In this role, the Licensed Practical Nurse will provide patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team, ensuring the highest levels of patient safety and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate care and treatment to patients with a customer service attitude.
• Collect and record patient data with keen observation.
• Seek assistance from RN when needed in patient care.
• Work efficiently, demonstrating a proactive approach to unit situations.
• Address the needs of patients, family members, co-workers, and the department.
• Demonstrate strong computer skills.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for patients, following infection prevention techniques according to hospital standards.

Requirements:

Education:

• Associate Degree (Preferred).

License:

• New York LPN (Required).

Certifications:

• BLS/CPR (Preferred).

Experience:

• 1 year of experience in a medical office setting (Preferred).

Qualifications:

• Strong commitment to patient safety and experience.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent observational and communication skills.
• Proficient in computer skills.
• Familiarity with infection prevention techniques.
