The person hired for this position will work out of the DiSalle location (7615 DiSalle Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) and travel throughout Allen County driving a library box truck to deliver (loading and unloading) library materials. The person hired will also serve as back-up to security at our branches as needed.
If you are looking for a job that is critical to the organization but also gives you the freedom to move around, the Logistics Support Officer may be for you! The Logistics Support Officer will serve as backup for our courier routes, warehouse projects and upkeep, and security if needed.

This is a full-time 40-hour per week benefit eligible position. Work hours are typically 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday with the opportunity of overtime.

Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Fork lift operation experience preferred.
Physical Demands
- Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment and stamina to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry up to 100 pounds; vision to read printed materials and computer screens; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.
Work Environment
- Work is performed in a variety of settings under exposure to fumes, gasses, and environmental conditions.
- Travel required to branches and office locations throughout the Library system.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay is $13.00 - $16.00/hr based on comparable and related work experience;
