Overview
Lead Logistics Support Analyst duties include evaluating available resources and recommending funding requirements and plans to ensure logistics and program support for the Air Force Nuclear Weapon Center’s Air Delivered Directorate (AFNWC/NDW) WS3 Program.
Responsibilities
- Duties include evaluating available resources and recommending funding requirements and plans to ensure logistics and program support for the Air Force Nuclear Weapon Center’s Air Delivered Directorate (AFNWC/NDW) WS3 Program.
- The applicant will provide logistics services to support WS3 equipment deployed worldwide.
- Specific expertise is required to expedite hardware through the repair process and the defense supply systems to reach end users in worldwide locations.
- Additionally, expertise in requirements computations and use of the Air Force supply systems, e.g., D035, D043, CDAS, and PIDS are required.
- The applicant will have familiarity with stock listing, disposals, re-procurements, configuration management, technical/drawing reviews, validation/verification, and technical orders including modifications/changes.
- The applicant will process shipments within the appropriate required time frames.
- In addition to deliverable reports, support personnel is required to input data to Government produced reports, data systems, and briefings as requested.
Skills Required
- The position requires at least five years of combined industry and federal government experience in DOD weapon system logistics/sustainment/product support.
- A Bachelor of Science degree or Business Administration from an accredited college/university is required.
- Applicant should be proficient in the use of standard M/S office applications.
- Excellent verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required.
- Must be knowledgeable of DoD 5000.2 (Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework), DOD’s integrated product support element structure, and the DoD Product Support Manager Guidebook.
- Applicant must have experience in DoD weapon system logistics/sustainment.
- Applicant must have U.S. citizenship, have an active passport, and have at least a Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain DoD Top Secret security clearance.
- Applicant may be required to travel CONUS/OCONUS for a few weeks at a time.
- Desired certifications: APDP (Life Cycle Logistics (LCL)).
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
