Our Catalyst division is on the hunt for a Logistics Associate to bebased in our Kansas City, KS plant.
This role reports to the Global Logistics Manager in Kansas City and isresponsible for supporting and developing efficient processing of internalproduct movement, as well as assisting in establishing a strong and efficientfreight- and warehouse network to support Intercompany, interplant and customershipments. Assistance with transportation planning for US domestic, import andexport operations for the Catalysts Group, establish solid relationships withvendors, 3PL and forwarders. Participation in departmental objectives tostrengthen the Supply Chain Team and overall company's performance resulting incustomer satisfaction. Strong focus on developing and enhancing the use of SAPto improve processes and transparency.
Job Responsibilities:
Vendor management:
Prepare and submit requests for new Vendor Records (freight and warehouse related)
Freight- and warehouse management
Manage freight and warehousing for feedstock and finished goods in the US, domestic and international Toller locations.
Annual inventory reconciliations
Framework POs for external warehouse storage & handling
Invoice verification and approval of freight related invoices
Reporting
Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing goods.
Track and process incoming shipments and ensure timeliness, price- and freight rate accuracy in SAP.
Monitor shipping performance, coordinate with transportation suppliers and forwarders to ensure timely delivery. Communicate with stakeholders and take corrective action if needed.
Create STOs and POs for interplant shipments to support production schedules and track order fulfillment, including intercompany STOs from Shell JV.
Coordinate annual review of intercompany price schedule for US import and export shipments of feedstock and finished goods.
Develop and maintain a good working relationship with Ecovyst's preferred freight forwarders.
Coordinate and active participation in year-end inventory count of 3rd party warehouses.
Report results and adjust inventory in SAP accordingly.
General business support
Act as a backup for Logistics Planner.
Initiating new product code in SAP for North America operation.
Knowledge of supply chain and SAP:
Develop cross departmental knowledge to strengthen overall supply chain process.
Certification and training:
Maintain Dangerous goods certification.
Project management:
Support development of a solid and effective warehouse- and freight network.
Departmental Objectives
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Minimum: Highschool diploma or GED required, Bachelor degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.
Experience:
Become an expert in SAP IM and solid understanding of SD and FI modules.
Develop thorough knowledge of current Inco terms.
Obtain working knowledge of freight- and international shipping as well as a basic understanding of custom related documents.
Actively participate in further development of SAP automation to reduce daily manual workload.
Work smarter not harder.
Optimize information flow from and to 3rd party warehouses (electronic file, EDI, etc.)

Goods issue
Product status (i.e. blocked)
Implement cycle count for multiples sites and locations.
Data accuracy and completeness in SAP (i.e. mode of transportation, container information, customer master data for receiving shipments, HTS codes, routes).
Document internal and external product movements (person in charge, timing, SAP transactions, etc.)
Optimize freight and warehouse network through geographical mapping (cost reduction and efficiency improvement)
Investigate and implement inbound deliveries (ASN= Advanced Shipping Notification) for Intercompany shipments.
Cost and benefit analysis on Metro Park warehouse in Kansas (support direct shipping from Metro Park instead of returning to KC plant for shipping).
Shell inventory locations, investigate potential of automatic updating of movements between two different SAP clients together with stakeholders and IT.
Understand and optimize process of prepaid and add customer invoicing.
3 plus years of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
Must be comfortable working through change management in an international environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
3 plus years of experience working withan ERP system, preferable SAP
