Job Description

Local delivery driver needed for privately owned, 160-year old company. Great hours, competitive pay, good benefits and generous vacation time (PTO).

Founder, Thomas Somerville, opened the National Brass Works in northwest Washington, D.C. in 1861. Today, Thos. Somerville Company is a distributor of plumbing and HVAC equipment and supplies, operating 21 branches and 6 showrooms in 5 states and the District of Columbia.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Chambersburg, PA team. As a delivery driver, you will make local deliveries of plumbing and HVAC materials to our contractor customers. Works hours are from 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Job Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Operate our vehicles in a safe and courteous manner at all times
• Load and unload materials efficiently and responsibly
• Lift 100 lbs or greater with assistance
• Make deliveries to our customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Communicate essential information to customers and other Somerville employees
• Use computer to process delivery documents and route manifest
• Assist warehouse when not delivering
• Read maps and navigate local roadways
• Inspect vehicle prior to deliveries
