We're hiring a mortgage loan officer assistant who will work directly with and support our loan origination staff. You’ll track leads daily, schedule appointments for the mortgage team, prepare paperwork, and respond to customer inquiries on transactions as needed. Responsibilities:
- Assist loan officers with the loan application process, including gathering necessary documentation and verifying information
- Perform credit analysis and review credit reports
- Input loan data into loan origination software and maintain accurate records
- Communicate with customers to collect additional information or clarify details related to their loan applications
- Assist in preparing loan documents and ensuring compliance with TILA (Truth in Lending Act) regulations
- Collaborate with real estate agents to educate and share new loan programs and incentives.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the loan process
-Assist with administrative duties such as making and screening calls, booking appointments, etc.
-Handle all customer and in-house inquiries about transactions so the process is smooth and customers receive excellent service
-Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation then report any discrepancies to the Loan Originator
-Be the primary liaison between the mortgage loan officer and our clients and schedule meetings to discuss outstanding items
-Make calls to real estate agents and nurture them
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Loan Assistant or similar role is preferred
-NMLS licensed or the ability to get licensed in the first 8 weeks is preferred
- Familiarity with loan processing procedures and documentation requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate data entry, including 10-key typing skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients
- MS Office proficiency required; some CRM, MLS, DU, and proprietary mortgage software preferred
