Loan Officer

Are you interested in helping small businesses grow and thrive in a vital PNW industry? Washington Contract Loggers Association (WCLA) Credit Union is looking for a full-time Loan Officer to join its team in Olympia, WA.

Founded in 1984, WCLA Credit Union is a credit union for loggers and all persons and organizations engaged in forestry, timber, wood products, or related activities. We take pride in maintaining strong relationships with our members by delivering valuable financial services to meet the needs of the industry. WCLA Credit Union primarily finances forestry equipment, logging trucks, and other commercial purpose loans that support the forest products industry. WCLA CU is able to finance its loans through highly competitive deposit offerings. The Credit Union continues to grow in meeting the demand of its membership and is looking for an additional Loan Officer to join the team. This position will generally work in the office Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

· Forestry equipment and related commercial loan originations.

· Consumer loan originations.

· Receive new loan inquiries and applications. Obtain, assemble, and organize required financial information in support of the application. Perform credit analysis and approve/recommend credits within delegated authority.

· Perform loan monitoring and servicing actions including periodic and annual loan reviews, completing monthly and quarterly reports, collateral inspection and valuations, partial release of collateral, and other routine servicing requests.

· Perform collection actions on delinquent accounts.

· Perform marketing and public relations functions on behalf of the credit union. Market and sell credit union products and services in support of the membership. Develop new business for the credit union.

· Perform other duties as assigned in support of the credit union.

A Good Fit Candidate will have the following qualifications:

· Two or Four-year degree, Advanced knowledge of MS Office Software

· Two years consumer / commercial / small business credit underwriting experience

· Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations

· Knowledge of timber industry and logging practices

· Credit union or other financial institution experience
