Do you have experience in non-profit work, working with people of various backgrounds, and a political science or relevant background? Our client, FUSE Corps., in collaboration with Los Angeles County and The Office of Immigrant Affairs has an opening for a Language Data Analyst and Consultant. The primary responsibility of this yearlong contract is building a language access toolkit providing better access to resources and services to Los Angeles County residents, regardless of their native language. Must be proactive, creative in strategy, and a leader.
What you will own
- Canvassing various neighborhoods in Los Angeles County for language data
- Analyzing data and compiling to disseminate in easily translatable language
- Forging relationships with various stakeholders, community members, and community organizations
- Developing a language toolkit providing access to various county programs and resources
- Consulting and strategizing with various departments on how to implement and maintain toolkit
- Providing technical assistance and advice for toolkit
Non-negotiables
- 15+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Public Administration
- Political Science
- Relevant field experience
- Experience or familiarity with non-profit organizations
- Able to handle constructive criticism
- Experience working and forging relationships with difficult and non-difficult personalities alike
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Communications, Humanities, Political Science, or a related field
- Degree or Minor in a Language, major plus
- Canvassing experience
- 8+ years experience in a senior role relevant to the position
- Proven track record building community partnerships
- Senior experience analyzing complex data and strategizing based on data
- Cultural competency and sensitivity
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and spoken)
- Excellent organization related to strategic planning
- Data and results-driven mindset
- Tech and non-tech savvy
- Ability to pivot responsibilities as needed
